Who I am beyond Design
More than just a UX/Product designer, I am passionate about creating a seamless user experience with a strong focus on user based research.
I was born and raised in a small town in South Africa, surrounded by a variety of animals. Living next to a nature conservancy, I was fortunate to develop a deep affection for animals and the outdoors, a passion that continues to influence the person I am today.
Later, I had the incredible chance to study Industrial Design in Cape Town, where my love for design truly flourished!"
I currently live in Seattle with my husband and many houseplants.
My inspirations and interests
As a passionate creator, I draw inspiration from a variety of creative projects. I take great pleasure in keeping my hands and mind engaged. When I'm not immersed in design work, you might find me channeling my creativity through intricate crochet and knitting projects, experimenting with different painting techniques, or dismantling objects to understand their inner workings!
I also love being outdoors and find that any problem can be solved with a walk in nature. There's something about the tranquility of the natural world that helps clear my mind and offers a fresh perspective. Whether it's a stroll through a nearby park or a challenging hike in the mountains, being surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors never fails to lift my spirits and bring clarity to any situation.
Looking ahead
As I delve further into the realm of UX/UI design, I am particularly enthusiastic about the potential of incorporating sustainable practices into digital design. This allows for the integration of environmental responsibility directly into the user experience.
I aspire to contribute to projects that not only have a great visual appeal but also make a positive impact on both people and the planet. Additionally, I am eager to explore how I can utilize my design skills to enhance the daily lives of individuals.
